Study space ideas

Creating an organized, pleasant and a focused study space is very important. We have put together a few ideas to give your study space a beautiful makeover to create a fully functional study room.

  • A fun study room with cabinets and shelves
  • If you are a book lover, then your room must be full of books. Give a fun element to your study space by adding shelves and cabinets. Cabinets are very useful as it allows the users to store and maintain their files and documents properly. Things placed in organized fashion are always easily accessible. Adding a bookcase divider to your study is also an interesting way to give the children their space to focus on their task at hand.
  • Choose the right lighting for your study
  • Bring stylish and fun table lamps to focus your attention on your tasks at hand. A study room must have lights that are well-lit and airy. Get a desk lamps that allow you to move your neck or head in different angles to light an area of your desk. If you like to read magazines and books in your bed, then wall-mounted lamps are an excellent option. You may also opt for pendant lighting. They add a nice design feature to your study space.
  • Experiment with colors
  • Paint the walls of your study room in white or light colors. This will make the space look brighter and larger. Dark colors will make the room depressed. Opt to paint the walls light green, pastel yellow, ice blue and cream. Opt for deep grays to help you to concentrate on the tasks at hand. Olive and sage greens also promote creativity and productivity.
  • Add a personal touch
  • Get a family tree photo-frame and place it on your study table. A photo frame as a part of your study décor will help feel close to your near and dear ones and remind you of the fact that you will always be together. You can even decorate your study table with figurines and statues and pen holders.  Personalize your study room with elements such as wall décor or an area rug.  You can also decorate your study room with things that inspire and motivate you.
  • Comfort at its best
  • Get a simple table with clean lines and no drawers. Size of the space and the kind of work you do will determine the size of the desk in your study. Apart from desk include a comfy corner where one can relax, read and study. Bring an ergonomic chair if you are planning to seat for long periods of time. Ergonomic chairs come with a backrest and they are high enough to support the entire back.
